METAL CARPORTS

Just as how important it is to have a home, vehicles also need a station to properly park into and such stations include metal carports. You may think of it as the house of the vehicle and throughout the globe, it has been extensively used. Either for personal cars, business parking spaces, or even for commercial use. Rather than stationing their vehicles in the open which may expose them to various weather conditions, vehicle owners prefer parking them in metal carports.

Metal carports are covered metal structures that offer protection to various vehicles against natural occurrences such as rain, snow, and most importantly from the hot weather. The leading irritant for vehicle owners and/or drivers is the direct exposure of their vehicles to the intense heat of the sun. And metal carports actually play an important role in ensuring that lesser vehicle users get to experience such discrepancy.

For vehicles to last long and serve their purpose properly, providing or having a station for it is a must. These metal carports are one of the needs that come along whenever you purchase a vehicle. So what are you waiting for? Contact us! And together, let’s build a metal carport that will protect your vehicle.

Regular Style Metal Carports (Barn Style), With Horizontal Roof

Starting off with the most economical and most low cost carport, the Regular Style Metal Carport, (Standard Rolled-Corner Type), the Carport comes with the Standard Horizontal Roof. The Roof Panels run parallel to the side of this type Carport. Water will drain to the front or the back of the Carport. This is sometimes called the Classic Style

Boxed Eave Style Metal Carports (A-Frame Style), With Horizontal Roof

On the Boxed Eave Style Metal Combo Unit, (A-Frame Type), the Combo Unit comes with the Standard Horizontal Roof. The Roof Panels run parallel to the side of the Combo Unit. Water will drain to the front or the back of the Building. On this style you have the option of having the roof panels installed vertically for an additional charge. We recommend the Vertical Roof Style for the small difference in price versus the Horizontal Roof Style. The Boxed Eave Style with either Roof Style does have a more traditional look than the Regular Style. Order this Style to more closely resemble the other buildings on your property.

Boxed Eave Style Metal Carports (A-Frame Type), With Vertical Roof

On the Boxed Eave Style Metal Combo Unit, (A-Frame Type), with the Vertical Steel Roof, the ridges of the roof panels run from the top of the Metal Combo Unit to the sides, unlike the Regular Style and the Boxed Eave Style with roof panels installed horizontally. This Vertical Roof configuration displaces water, snow, etc., much more efficiently and water will not pond on the roof. The Vertical Roof Style also has “Purlins’ running length wise attached to the bows, which are basically a metal frame for the vertical roof panels to be attached to. This makes the structure more sturdy. The Boxed Eave Style has a more traditional look. Order this Style to more closely resemble the other buildings on your property.

Single Slope Metal Carports

Single Slope Carports are similar to flat roof carports. These carports however have a pitched roof. Additionally, it can be attached to a metal carport or a metal building to create a horse barn, or can be a free-standing carport.

Available Metal Carport Options

The Regular Style Carport (standard rolled-corner type) and the Boxed Eave Style Carport (A-frame type) both come standard with the horizontal roof design. The Boxed Eave Style Carport can be built with the vertical roof design. Each style can be constructed with either the 14 gauge steel frame or the 12 gauge steel frame. The ridges of the steel panels on a horizontal roof design run parallel to the sides of the carport. On a vertical roof design, the ridges of the steel panels run from the top of the carport to the sides. Both roof types can also serve as the metal frame of any full or partial enclosure, or any type of custom job you may require. We strongly recommend the Vertical Roof Design on all structures over 31′ long for strength and durability. Also If You Are Placing The Carport Near Your Home It Has A Nicer Curb Appeal.

We offer a variety of add-on options for our Metal RV Covers.

  • Add Additional Leg Height Up To 16′, For More Clearance (20′ in some areas).
  • Gable Or Extended Gable Ends Add Strength To The Structure And Protection For The Elements.
  • Panels Down The Side To Keep The Blowing Rain And Hot Sun Off Your Vehicles Or Equipment.
  • 12 Gauge Steel Frame Upgrade From The Standard 14 Gauge Frame For Higher Snow Load (In Some Areas).
  • Helical/Asphalt Anchors For Certification On Ground Or Asphalt Instead Of Pouring A Concrete Slab (Some Areas Require A Concrete Slab For Structures Over 30′ Wide).

How is it Built?

Step 1: Level the site
Before anything else gets started in the metal carport development, it must first be ensured that the site is clear of any debris or vegetation. Afterward, the leveling of the ground follows which allows the carport structure to stay balanced.

Step 2: Digging of Post Holes
Next up is the digging of post holes where pegs are driven into the ground at each of the corners with strings attached between them.

Step 3: Lay the Foundation
The third step is the beginning of the placement of the foundation of your metal carports. Here you would get a slight glimpse of what the metal carport would look like.

Step 4: Assembling of the Frames and Panels
After the foundation has been set out and placed into position, it is now time to assemble the frames and the panels of the metal carport. In this step, the rest of the parts are assembled in the same way to create the interior framing,

Step 5: Adding the Roof
Lastly, is the roof placement. The roof is fastened on top of the rafters and should be ensured that it is secured in place.
